Important Message from the Head of Department
To all PXXXX 2XX students,

In this morning's PXXXX 2XX lecture, the lecturer JW made a statementthat implied that he would be getting a bonus based on the number ofstudents he failed.

I can assure you that this comment was meant as a joke and that TheUniversity of Auckland would never contemplate such a clause in anyemployment contract.

J has substantial experience in teaching and is highly regarded by hisstudents, he is known for his fairness and sense of humour. His coursesare internally and externally assessed and his pass rates arecomparable with others in the Business School.

Students who have any concerns should feel free to come and discuss them with me.

这个说法很久以前就有了。。。pass rate是学校每年都要根据生源调整的。

哪门课的ANNOUNCEMENT啊?

PS.....你头像那个老师讲STATS208讲得很好，当年是我的TUTUOR, 课上没听懂的去听他的TUTORIAL就OK了...
记得有次在超市还看见过他，他和他儿子...

这个玩笑过分了。。。

以前念compsci320的时候第一节课老师说，我们这个课fail rate是40%,结果第二节课班上就少了一半的人。。。

不过当时那个老师不是开玩笑。

嗯，我也觉得他讲的tutorial超好，非常崇拜他。
