Similar to Hays report, get it from http://www.itsalaryreport.co.nz/docs/AbsoluteIT_salaryreport.pdf

This report is good that it tells you not only average/median pay but also benefits that people are entitled to.

I still don't see many jobs that pay more than 150k-200k in NZ for permanent employee (either in report or in real life). I am sure there are minority of people that get paid that much, may be i am just not good enough. :)

yeah,reading this report now, medium salary for ICT is $75,000 i am still long way to achieve that medium...

the report didn't categories junior/intermediate/senior roles. so i guess the lower quartile is for junior, and the upper quartile is for senior?

anyway, i think contracting is the way to go!!!

For jobs that are around $200k. i think most of them are mouth-to-mouth recommendations rather than through the agents.

我们公司原来的IT manager是$100一小时，一周他只工作30小时（说要享受生活，不想工作太长时间），一年就是150K左右，他的主要工作就是在网上监控我们都上网在干什么？发发警告信什么的。整个一特务。
网络维护什么一般的IT工作有他手下的人干

programmer (software creater), system enginer (server creater) and network engineer (network creater), which one earns more? provided with same educational degree, same years of experience and in same company (a median to large size company)?

my personal view is. Sofware developer started off faster than system/network engineers (i.e. on first 1-3 years developer get paid more than engineers). Longer term i think they all earn similar money though (i.e. after 5-7 years they all ended up with 80-100k salary).

有牛人的，我认识有俩人就是在同一个地方作了四五年的CONTRACT的了，不是一般的爽啊。都是洋人。
我觉得这个就是他们自个儿的本事确实过硬，而且人又玩得开，不是一般人作得了的。
