However, the law has been changed recently but it still has 2 years before you can really freely chop the trees down.
Normally, you will need to get an ARBORIST to have a look for you to see it is OK to chop the tree down without Council's approvel and he may also do the works for you if this is OK to be chopped. Check Yellow Pages na....

Thats why you need to get an arborist to help - they can measure it and let you know.
