I am interested in your opinion, feel free to comment.

I am considering cutting my trip short, I wont ride to Italy anymore cos I dont have enough money, Istanbul is my new destination.

But even Istanbul is a bit far cos the weather is getting colder and colder

I am not happy when I ride

Reason 1, I miss home, home miss me.

Reason 2, Its freezing cold, the riding is not a problem, its when I sweat, my clothes become wet, and when I stop, the wet clothes are killing me.

I am in Mashhad, Iran, at the moment.
The average high of Mashhad is 6 degrees Celsius
The average low of Mashhad is -2 degrees Celsius

and its getting colder.

I am heading to Tabriz, Iran, by the time I get to Tabriz by bicycle, it will be
average high of -4 degrees Celsius
average low of -10 degrees Celsius.

I am not happy if I dont ride:

Reason 1: It cost $300 NZD to get the Iranian visa, and its very hard to get it. I felt I havnt used it well if I didnt ride.

Reason 2: I have 2 cycling companion, they are 2 Irish guys(originally was one, now another one joined), their equipments are not as good as mine, but they are still riding to Tabriz and even Yerevan, Armenia,well, they have to continue anyway cos they have sponsors, this trip to them is a mission to be completed.

should I take bus from Mashhad to Tabriz, and then take train from Tabriz to Istanbul?
or should I ride to Tabriz and then take train from Tabriz to Istanbul?

I wont take airplane, last year Iran Air lost 3 planes, full of people.

As u said, doing what you are doing.....but I guess what you need maybe a bit more rest and a bit more money plus a bit more annual leaves so you may like to stay in Iran until the terrible cold weather finishes before you ride again?

However, if this is not an option for you and you dont feel like u can stand for this anymore, dont push yourself too hard - just come back.

不骑了：因为你不Happy，人生苦短，应该做让自己Happy的事情。几百块钱的签证损失不足珍惜。

继续骑：因为你计划了很久，你曾说过这是你一生中唯一的长途骑行，如果现在放弃了将来你会不会后悔。

i think it is ok that you ride towards tabriz, but stop when you really feel uncomfortable. it is hard to say when, but your body will tell you that you may fall sick. do not take any more risk. After you stop, you can then cath a bus or a train and enjoy the rest of the country. (if you feel really uncomfortable and unhappy now, just take the bus right now, do not ride)

i do not think it needs to be a competition (against others, like the irish guys). People are different. You do what every you like, and whatever you can afford, that is it.

Like marathon,
human body will always feel exhausted at certain stage,
no matter who.
So your feeling is normal.

But, your journey is much tougher than marathon,
because of extreme weather condition.
winter is coming over there.

Obviously, you've determination,
but unlike unrestricted mind, body has its limitation.

Because you have family,
so safety is major concern here.

So if I were you, I'll ask myself questions, and measure myself:

1. Is my body fit enough ?
2. If I take a few days rest, will it make any difference?
3. If not, better stop it now.
4. If yes, continue.

taking a few days rest wont make a difference, I have been resting for nearly a week. and more I rest, the colder the temperature will get.
