RT....i have no idea how do I ask for a pay rise? most likely will be face to face talking cauz i dont use much email with my manager, her office is just next to mine.

Some suggestions include:
- come up with a list of justifications why you deserve one (if you can't even convince yourself you have no chance of convincing your boss).
- based it on some reputable salary survey
- Find another job and once you are offered a job go back and negotiate with your boss.

BTW not sure if this year is the best time to negotiate for a pay rise though with the crap economy downturn etc.

if i were you i will be glad. That's how you establish your relation and profile in the company. Once your boss delegate enough to you and relies on you too much, that's when you have the negotiating power to ask for whatever you want. If they can find someone from the market easily to do what you currently do, you won't get what you want, so continue to work hard and get on your boss's good book and start negotiate when you think you are irreplaceable.

yea i agree becauz once you got another job offer, i doubt you would bother to come back and spend time with your boss, if i find another job , i will just go .

Yea , i am looking for another job, but at the same time i would like to ask for a pay rise . i cant wait until i got another job offer.

u don't necessarily have to threaten your boss with the new job offer. You indicate slightly to your boss that there's a high likelihood that you might leave the company for another role and if you are highly irreplaceable and do have the job offer in hand, you don't even have to do much at all, company or your boss will do the rest automagically. :)

BTW i attempted to leave my previous roles (different companies) and got 5k, 10k and 20k respectively. It was my company that beg me to stay etc etc.. didn't really even have to bargain hard at all. :)

个人意见

用辞职/离职威胁老板的办法只能用一次而已，而且一旦用了，就要考虑谈判崩溃的后果。谈之前不要在公司弄得人尽皆知，免得就算谈成了，你也成了公司里那个哭了就要到糖的孩子而被别的同事不齿。

想涨薪最好就是另找份工作。我个人的体会认为。
在现有工作的基础上涨薪，幸运的话能有个百分之四五，一般也就是百分之二左右吧。
所以当你觉得你学得足够了，懂得够多了，就是时候跳槽了。人往高处走，水处低处流嘛，人不可能总在ENTRY LEVEL的工作一直作下去是吧。
在市场上转转看看，找几份觉得有把握的发发CV试试。最重要的一点，千万不要用现在的老板作REFERENCE，哈哈。

这种事情要看经理和老板都是什么样子的人吧
不一样的人有不一样的对付方法
如果工作和工资严重不符短时间可以时间长了还没有涨工资的意思还是趁早找新工作把

曾经给老板发了一封EMAIL谈涨薪。之后就受到了暴风雨般的报复，不停地挑剔你的工作，发牢骚。只字不提加工资的事情。我都麻木了
