S16 Nissan Silvia in 2010
There have long been rumors of a successor to the S15 throne, andNissan did release this teaser image from Nissan’s GT 2012 meeting heldrecently. They hinted towards a cheap, ‘drift-able’ rear wheel drivesports platform, the Silvia. The leaked images show the side view ofthe upcoming FR sports coupe due to go on sale in 2010.
The image reveals just enough to give a good idea of what the finalshape will be. An interesting feature is the small third “quarterwindow” and the pronounced rear blister fender.
Although frustratingly obscured, the image would appear to show theclassic Silvia shape, and is a real indication that the manufacturer isfinally moving towards the return of one of Japan’s greatest sports cars.
