The NZ Tourism Research Institute at AUT need a webdeveloper as their present developer is leaving after a long time with theinstitute.
This is a full-time position with an opportunity toupskill along the way, but the right person for the job needs to be a top-notchself-starter. There's a good variety of projects from small protototype tourismwebsites to online surveys and totally new concepts.
Ideally, you'd have familiarity with PHP, MySQL, runninga web server, image processing, Flash/Flex plus skills in various authoring tools,but level-headedness, an open, creative mind and the ability to work as part ofa diverse professional team are equally important. Usually you'll find yourselfsupported in a small web team by various part-timers and/or interns and gradstudents from tourism and in turn you will be supporting them. Hermits need notapply!
