我的申请被撤销了。签证官的信是这么说的：
I wish to advise that your application for a residence permit under section 35a has been withdrawn on 13/02/2010.we have made this decision because you have now been approved a work permit until 12/12/2010.as you are now on a valid temporary permit,s35a no longer applies to your circumstances.
we strongly suggest you lodge an application for residence under the appropriate category at the earliest opportunity.
please ensure all lodgement requirements are met as the application will be returned to you if it fails to meet the mandatory lodgement requirements. please find attached policy R2.40 which outlines the mandatory requirements for lodging an application for residence.

you don't need to apply under 35a.
