He is semi - professional Model, I guess he was trying to express his soul and mind rather than facial expression. He is cool and he is very different with those gay male models I guess.

haha,,,, the last photo really shows something about him. ^^
i think he's expressions are fine. guys don't need that many variety anyway especially when he's required to portrait a cool look. : )
But i think because he's only showing one face you need to work harder on the composition and creativity plus lighting as well to keep viewers attention. some work certainly need to be done there.
overall i like the 1st pic the most, but it seems to be slightly over in contrast. the 5th pic is more natural and has a more balanced composition IMO.
