IT就业前景怎么样？

打算学IT，但是不知道以后好不好找工作，薪水怎么样。有经验的童鞋来说说吧。

DONT study management, human resource or marketing, they are all useless if you want to find a job here.

今天邮件里收到的猎头的spam (yes, i know, i do look into junk mail folder sometimes) 基本是好消息

Employment Market Status – YTD   
Our view – it looks like the worst is over and there is certainly an upswing in demand for additional resources (most noticeably in Auckland over the past 8 weeks or so where there has been a sustained period of return to hiring by a number of corporates and vendors). The levels of recruitment seen are equivalent to the last quarter of 2008 which was in fact quite buoyant.

Certainly Wellington has taken a hit with Government departments continuing to take a conservative approach to new projects kicking off and headcount constraints on pre existing work. There has been some movement but nothing to write home about. What better reason for companies to look at diversifying their client base outside of Government and even outside of NZ!  

Christchurch continues to rumble along and even though many are exposed to the higher currency through their exports we don’t hear as many complaints about the Kiwi dollar as we do from other industry sectors. They just seem to put their head down and get on with the job.

In terms of remuneration we have seen an across the board decline somewhere in the order of 10%. There is some real pricing pressure being applied from end clients and then in turn on vendors. On the other side of the coin look at any comparative salary survey and IT still fairs well as a sector, so whilst no one likes a drop in salary we can see natural market forces dictating some realignment – in other words some downward movement can be justified.

Overall the message is steady as she goes but we are certainly more positive than we have been for some time. Fingers crossed for 2010. I expect to see a spike in demand for resources next year as a consequence of delayed implementations - effectively opposite to what happened when everyone brought forward and spent their Y2K budgets back in 1999.

所以应该是华人最有前景的学科.

看看你说是什么了，就是比较累，科技这东西你一直不跟着学就落后了，所以甭想下班可以回家休息。

If you speak reasonable english, do know your stuff, have reasonable grades from school, finding a job shouldn't be too hard. But pls don't forget that there are many other deciding factors too which include luck, NZ economy etc. Generally speaking in comparison it should be easier to find a job in IT than other industries in NZ, but don't expect it to be an cruisy path (first job for fresh grad always take longer).

Fresh grad role your pay will probably range from 35k - 55k (depends on whether you are a helpdesk, developer or others, also depends on the size of the company etc). Longer term IT is one of the industry that you can have your salary jump up quite quickly (5-10k a year in average for the first 5 years).

总体来说看起来还可以。BACHELOR每工作经验不知道好不好找工作，就像ＡＣＣＯＵＮＴＩＮＧ，都说好找工作，我朋友毕业了但是没ＰＲ，没经验，貌似没公司要的说。

收入不好说吧...觉得可能跟学历有关. 2个,MASTER的朋友.基本都是7-8W, 另外两个一个4-5W.一个才3W...
差好多阿....

IT在这里不错,如果想回国,还是选择金融!

国内学生物找工作很难,找到工作的工资都不高,不知道新西兰如何...................

我认为在这个国家工资和学历没有任何直接关系

不知道国内的情况
新西兰生物不错
有些生物系是跟公司联系的
读书的时候就是在给那个公司作project
毕业了直接去那里工作
当然以后也可以跳槽

你被误导了。 学历一般 BACHELOR 就可以了。 IT 经验最重要。 我 DIPLOMA 毕业，现在都拿7W了，明年就8W了。  你那2个MASTER的朋友被骗了.......

学生物确实是个不错的选择,将来具体发展方向也可以变化,比如去实验室,或者转行food,又或者environmental health等等.
总之不要学那些大部分人都在学的专业就好,但是也不要太偏门

嗯，我团队有几个人就是视为一份工作而已，踢一踢才动一动，私人时间从来不做一些personal project的。
