Well I can't agree more but so far as I know, as a helpdesk support staff your English has to be excellent. A fresh graduate who speaks "reasonably good" english might later find that commucation skil ...

By the sound of thing your current level of english is way better than mine compare to when i first started. I almost never spoken a sentence of english (exaggerated) during my first 4-5 years of study life in NZ. It's only until i got my first IT job that i ended up having to force myself to actually use it and converse with people on a day-to-day basis using english. I can even still remember the first time i have to answer a call on my desk on my first day.. etc etc...
All i am trying to say is, do not underestimate what you are capable of achieving, and do whatever you can to prep yourself for the next available opportunity. I see lots of people that complain bout not being able to find a job all the time, but in reality it's partly their own fault as i don't see many them working hard or doing anything to increase their own chance of "being the one" either. If you are serious enough and determine enough, if you talk to enough people and understand what IT industry is all about and what employers actually want. I seriously don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to get a job. (of course luck does come into play, but it's a fair game still right?).
Sitting around and think that you are not good at this and that isn't going to get you anywhere. If you think a particular area is dragging you down, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
good luck. |
