LZ, I have the exact same thinking as you at one stage, i've worked in IT for about 3.5 years, i think we are in similar position.
To be honest with you, those cleaning/decorating/restaurant/other service related business requires a huge effort and time, they work alot harder than us to get to make 6 figures. They are BOSS, they dont receive a hourly rate, therefore they have risks, we dont.
And those businesses u mentioned, they can avoid TAX !!! thats a very big advantage.
In the end it will be your choice, its good that you realised that we are not going to be driving BMW and live in beach houses if we continue working like this for the next 20 years.
There are alot of opportunities in the IT field, just have to gain more experience and explore more options.
For me, I think at this stage I need more experience and build up social/business relationships, it requires time and opportunities. So just hanging in there mate, good things will come your way... |
