Hi,I’m posting this ad for Ann Devoy who works at School of Languages and Cultures, Humanities and Social Sciences at Victoria University. She is currently conducting an academic research on something about English pronunciation of Mandarin speakers.
She is looking for people to participate her research. Interview will be arranged, probably lasts 1 to 1.5 hours.
She is looking for someone
- speaks quite fluent English (being able to communicate freely), but with some problems with pronunciation (affecting intelligibility or causing misunderstanding)
- from North China (1st language is Mandarin)
- Mature adults
- Preferably have a professional work currently or previously overseas or in NZ.
What you will get out of this research is a free evaluation of your English pronunciation if you would like (you will probably get a list of issues you have in your English speaking, e.g. use of tense, articles, verb or some particular phonetics /ð/ /e/) . Ann also works as a paid evaluator. It’s a chance to get a free evaluation :)
If you are interested, please contact her via email: [email protected]. or ph on 4636014. Please pass along this information to anyone you know who might be interested.
Many thanks :) |
