Following a number of promotions, we have created a vacancy for a Senior Accountant in our Finance Team.

Reporting through to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for financial and management reporting and leading the Finance Team on a day-to-day basis.

As a role model for our Genuine Values you will have the courage to do the right thing in your areas of responsibility which will include:

• Providing financial information and analysis to the business,
• Providing timely and accurate monthly financial reporting including management accounts, Board reports and group reporting, covering all relevant aspects of the P&L and Balance Sheet,
• Taking ownership of the budget modelling and budgeting process,
• Optimising tax planning for the Company,
• Ensuring all transactions are processed in accordance with IFRS,
• Devising process improvement strategies to further develop the service provided by the Finance Team to the Company.

We are seeking a driven, energetic individual with a real desire to make a difference in our organisation. As a CA qualified accountant, you will have ideally operated in a similar role in the past, demonstrating your broad understanding of accounting standards, budgetary processes, financial systems, complex modelling, tax planning and people management skills.

Given your excellent communication and influencing skills as well as your business acumen, you will have the ability to make the most of your financial and analytical skills to drive improvements and truly add value to the Company.

this is a very senior role, I think you will need to advertise this vacancy on Seek and Trade me. I can refer you to use an agency if you can't find a quality candidate.
CA qualified Accountants are very difficult to find according to my previous accountant recruitment experience.  Salary level must be over $80k for someone like that.
