Human resources and communications intern
EWB iscurrently expanding and we are always looking for good volunteers to drive EWBactivity across our chapters and national organisation. We are also planning tobring on our first part time paid staff in 2010.
As the human resources and communications intern you wouldhave the opportunity to work on a significant recruitment project, and also beengaging with EWB chapters on a regular basis, to assess and assist with theirhuman resource and communications requirements. Part of the role is also membercommunications, and ensuring that members are kept up to date with each otherand the wider organisation.
Skillsrequired:
- Strong communication skills (written and oral)
- Organisation management skills
- Team work skills
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Human resource management or communications background would be of advantage
Starting: March 2010
Commitment: 3 months, 10 to 20 hours per week (voluntary)

Fundraising and media intern
Are you interested in raising funds for a not-for-profitorganisation and raising its profile? Have some innovative ideas that you’dlike to see become reality? EWB is looking for a creative and motivated personto take up a fundraising and media internship position with our team.
As the fundraising intern, you would have the opportunityto develop and implement fundraising strategies for EWB as a whole. You willalso be working with individual chapters, to assess their fundraising and mediaopportunities and help in developing ideas. As a part of this role, you mayalso be liaising with other NGOs, corporate partners and various mediachannels.

Our website manager is offoverseas! EWB is looking for a new website manager to oversee the developmentand maintenance of the EWB website and IT facilities. In 2010 this will includehelping to upgrade & redesign the current web system. This is greatopportunity to use your creativity and technical skills, and lead a great teamof people.

- Organisation management skills
- Leadership and self-motivation, or a desire to develop strong leadership skills
- Creativity
- Website development experience
- Background in information technology/computer science/engineering would be of advantage
Starting: April 2010
Commitment: 12 months, 5 to 10 hours per week (voluntary)
Location: Fromhome, or Auckland City
IT support officers
As an IT support officer forEWB, you will assist in development and maintentaine of the EWB website and ITfacilities. In 2010 this will include helping to upgrade & redesignthe current web system. This is great opportunity to use your creativity andtechnical skills, and work with a great team of people.
