Green Party MP and spokesperson for drug reform Chloe Swarbrick joins Marcus Lush tonight to discuss the referendum that will gauge the public's support on whether the recreational use of cannabis should become legal.

The bill has passed two readings in Parliament, and the referendum will decide if the new Parliament will introduce a bill to legalise it, or if recreational cannabis will remain illegal.

The official Government website for the referendum says that: "The proposed Bill sets out a way for the Government to control and regulate cannabis. This regulatory model covers how people can produce, supply, or consume cannabis."
