Increasing GST rate will hurt everyone, but tax cut across the board will benefit high income group more. Whatever they will change benefit the adminitration first. For example, if tax cut from high income group, across the board, John key can get about $280 extra.
The Govt couldn't find a better way to simulate NZ economy. They put heavier tax on local people instead of thinking about attract more investment/money from overseas, which is stupid. I don't think the National can win next election next year.
If you don't buy stuff, you don't pay GST, increasing GST rate, force more and more people to save instead of spending.
Tax cut across the board, will hurt low and middle income family, especially who have children and home mortgage.
We have to work hard to get higher pay job. |
