http://www.treasury.govt.nz/budget/forecasts/befu2014/094.htm/095.htm take the 3rd column, 2013-14, treasury All figures in NZD billion Personal tax 28 $b Company tax 10 $b GST 22 $b Others 9$b Total 69 $b So we are talking about personal tax only, about 40% of the total tax income. (for GST and Company tax, no need to say who pay that, rich or poor) Ok, in this 40% of total tax income, how much each person is paying?
http://www.ird.govt.nz/resources/3/0/3002bc68-bb2d-48e7-8e8c-d78eed457d30/income-distribution.xls this is for Year 2012.
It tells: 75% of ppl earn under 50K, paid 29% of the total personal income tax. . 20% of ppl earn 50-100k, paid 38% 5% of ppl earn above 100K, paid 33%
How can someone say "rich ppl dont pay tax"? is that a liar, or stupid?
(i will upload an excel later.)
