自从我们写了关于取消Telecom big time 计划不合法的文章后，很多网友联系了我们，要求和电信局理论，我们在上星期联系了Telecom的legal team，正式和对方指出Telecom的不合法，还有和对方进行Class Action（集体诉讼）的可能性。

今天我们得到了Telecom的非官方答复，告知经过研究，Telecom big time 会保留现有的客户，不再接受新客户了。之后会给我们正式答复信件。

总算得到了一个不算解决的解决。之后我们会放出我们和对方的来信，希望对big time 现有客户有个交代。

大家好，最近已经有不少人向我们咨询关于Telecom取消big time 服务的事情，我们在这里详细谈一谈看法。

根据telecom 的非商业消费者协议，可以更改自己的服务，详情可以参考一下。

Our services

We will always do our best to provide our services but we do not guarantee they will be continuous or fault-free. We may alter our services from time to time. If we alter our services in a way that materially reduces the service offering currently received by you, we will provide you a minimum of 10 working days' notice and wherever possible, one month's notice of such alterations. We will tell you about any such alterations by emailing or writing to you and by publishing the change on our website.

以上条例通常会显示在用户选择合同的一部分，或者可以在用户网上帐号里查询到。

那么，有人问，是否这样就没有什么办法了？

答案是否定的。因为Telecom以上的合约是他们有权利Alter 他们的服务。而alter 和 Cancel 是两个意义不同的词。一个是改动而另一个是取消。取消就是不存在了，而改动是限制或者改变计划。
如果合同取消的话，Telecom 很可能就抵触了消费者权益法和公平交易法了。

建议解决方法

有两种解决方法。第一种，再人数很多的情况下以违约的理由发起Class Action（集体诉讼）对Telecom做出民事诉讼，要求赔偿违约的损失。

第二种方式是在Commerce Commission 对Telecom作出违反消费者保护条约还有违反公平交易法的投诉，由国家作出仲裁和评判。

我个人的判断是，如果抗议的人数少的话，Telecom 也许会选择用妥协的方式，例如让这一小部分人仍旧停留在Big Time Plan，但是不会接受新客户加入Big
Time. 和之前Telecom的Go Large Plan很像。

而在人数太多的情况下，Telecom不会选择妥协，因为妥协会让它承受巨额损失，它会选择打这个官司或者要求仲裁。

What is Big Time?

Telecom is no longer offering the Big Time broadband plan to new customers.

For those customers currently on Big Time there is no fixed data cap on how much data you can upload or download every month - browsing the Internet, sending and receiving emails, uploading documents or downloading files. However, because of this we manage all the traffic on Big Time to optimise the experience for everyone on the plan. When the network is busy (generally inside the hours of 9am and 2am) you may notice reduced speeds, in particular you are likely to see reduced speeds in relation to file sharing traffic and online gaming.


Can I change plan if Big Time plan is not for me?

You can change your plan to one of our other available residential broadband plans at no additional cost, but you can only change once per calendar month. Big Time was withdrawn from our Broadband line up on 20 May 2010 so you will not be able to change back to it.

If you're a Big Time customer and you would like to discuss your options with us, including if you would like to disconnect from Big Time and Telecom Broadband altogether, then please contact us on 0800 22 55 98.

但有一点不知道大家考虑过没有，他可以保留现有客户，按照合同，不限流量，但可以卡速度，这样用户还是不爽，照样逼你换plan，早晚而已。。。。。。。

楼主贴的这段我觉得只是Telecom对big time这个宽带计划的定义,也就是跟大家介绍一下什么是big time (比如:那段话的标题就叫:what is big time)

I'm a Big Time customer - when will I find out more?We are conscious we have a number of customers who are on the Big Time plan. You will receive a letter from us in the coming months with your options and giving you advanced notice before we need to move you to another broadband plan.If you would like to make a change of plan today, or disconnect your broadband service, we recommend you call us on 0800 22 55 98 to discuss your options. Otherwise you can remain on the Big Time plan until you receive our letter explaining your options.

从另一个方面来论证, 进telecom主页,用"big time" search, lz贴的新闻在第二条,第一条是关于big time 取消的消息公布. 按理说,越晚release的消息应该排最前面.所以lz贴的消息如果是telecome关于保留现有big time客人的话,这几天release的应该排第一条才是...

但愿我的理解是错的.我也是big time的existing customer,如果telecom能让我们这些existing cutomer继续使用unlimited download,就算把速度降低点也无所谓.希望lz能收到telecom 的书面答复得以确认 :)

我也是在用big time的，如果真能保留原有客户，我也可以考虑继续使用telecom，不然的话，铁定是换公司的了。。。

可是20个G的不够用，限速后连本地的网页都打不开。。。
40个G的倒是不限速，可是它也不提醒你什么时候用超，用超后是要加钱的。。。
这样的话，那我还不如一次性付费，换个合理点的公司。。。

其实现在WORLD NET有无限流量的PLAN出来了，不知道速度如何
