BACKGROUND
To meet the surging demand for ERP professionals, The University of Auckland, ISOM Department and SAP introduce the "Integrated Business Processes in SAP ERP (BPERP)" course to train tertiary students on industry best practices, giving these future professionals hands-on experience with SAP solutions. It is part of our continuing effort under the University Alliances Program to enhance the value of our graduates in the global knowledge economy. It also aims to provide enough trained and certified SAP professionals to meet the growing demand for them.
The demand for SAP professionals globally has soared 16% worldwide in 2007 on a year-to-year basis. This growth is a direct result of the increasing adoption of SAP business applications by enterprises to drive efficiency and growth. In Asia Pacific, the leading IT research firm, Gartner has forecasted that the enterprise resource planning (ERP) market to grow at 14.7% annually from 2005 through 2010. This will continue to fuel the high demand for SAP trained professionals.
Based on the best business practices of more than 6,000 customers worldwide, SAP Best Practices deliver pre-configured business scenarios that help companies accelerate implementations, reduce risk and time-to-benefits to as short as two to three months.
