Cool! I like snapping none posing subjects! Will definitely think about 17-55.
Unfortunately, with my knowledge and skill, some of your description is still too technical for me, can't understand fully. Suppose I'll find out what they mean in real world with time. But do know more light being able to get through the lens, the better, so getting the rough idea.
I'll have a look on dpreview, and see what you mean about the charm of the ultra wide angle.
my 55-250... maybe because I was photographing in a cloudy day, without tripod, and lack of manual adjustment? Had a look the photos taken with it again, did look really bad and useless. Suppose reasonable telephotos never equal to quick photo with camera built in scenery mode?
