Are you thinking of going into the construction industry? I know this industry is quite tight in Sydney at the moment. The retail sector is really slowing down here and it is not helping the construction industry. But you never know, even in tough times, engineers should be more employable than others.
I think coming here without a job offer can be a gamble. It can work out to be really good for you, or it could be really bad. Living cost is really high, you will feel a lot of pressure if you don't mind a job within one month. But having said that, companies are not likely to interview you because you are based overseas. So it is a double edge sword. Sometimes you have to give up something you already have to gain more that you want. |
