比起看更多的case,你更需要理解每个case里面的principles/rules/ratios, in order to apply them ACCURATELY & THOROUGHLY  to the facts in the exam questions; 考试题目一般都是根据某个case's fact改编的,到时候就看你能否pick out the best case for application,
and remember to make an alternative argument if ur aiming for A

common law's authority is all about cases,

I hate citing cases coz they are of no use, let alone illustrating the application of principles.

I'd have thought the only use of cases is there for you to differentiate them from the scenario at hand in a way that favors your case and thus stand apart from other students' answers.

hmm ok..
what i wrote in my answer was something like.. a similar cases was decided like this.. so i wrote that case in my answer to support my argument
in 101.. i think even if i only had 1 case the marker still gave me lots marks for putting in the right sections,
but for 301.. it seems that they are looking for more cases? maybe because theres a lot of case laws???

alternative argument... is it like.. you should argue both ways? eg: the case can be decided like this and decided in another way?

exactly, but u still have to make a conclusion in the end like...on the balance of probabilities...choose the most likely outcome you(or the court) may be likely to reach and state why

depends on what you write
