基督城的人口普查是不是要延期一下，要不然不准呀！现在失踪的，送到外地就医的，到各处安身落脚借住的，哪有心思填人口普查表呀！

前两天电视已经宣布要延期了，他们说这个时候很多人都很upset, 所以不适合做人口普查。

10.00am: The Census will not go ahead on March 8. The last time this happened was during World War II in 1941. It was also cancelled after the 1931 earthquake in Napier.
"This is not the time to go door to door asking New Zealanders for information when they're dealing with the aftermath of the earthquake," Williamson said.
There has been extensive damage to Statistics New Zealand buildings with significant impacts on census staff.
Williamson said no decision has been made on future dates. "We will now investigate the feasibility of alternative options," Bascand said.
