Following the earthquake in Christchurch on 22 February, the Christchurch branch is closed until further notice.
Customers who would normally apply to Christchurch Branch should now apply to Northern Documentation Branch:

If your passport was in INZ’s Christchurch office at the time of the earthquake, and you need it urgently, contact the Immigration Contact Centre on 0508 55 88 55.
Interim visas granted to Christchurch branch applicants
The Minister of Immigration has granted interim visas to people who had residence and temporary visa applications at the Christchurch branch at the time of the earthquake. For more information please refer to the following notices:
