We would like to complain about the service of the Oceanview Restaurant. We had booked in for dinner on Sunday night for 6:30 pm. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:20 pm to a full restaurant with between 30 and 40 people waiting to be seated. There was a group of 10 that had booked to be seated at 6:00 pm. By 6:45 pm, one of the ladies in the group of 10 (who had a baby with her) was fed up and asked for a refund (as they had also purchased the deal off Groupy) - the manager of the restaurant was very rude to her and flogged her off claiming that he had other people to seat, even though this poor lady had been waiting for 45 minutes. After my husband and I had been waiting around until 6:45 also (and had seen how rude the manager was), we decided that we would also like a refund. The restaurant was over booked and very loud. My husband asked the lady at the desk if we could have our money back as we no longer wanted to eat there - she didn't speak a word of English and was more interested in gathering money from customers that had already eaten. By now, we were fuming and it was 6:55 pm. The manager was still refusing a refund and telling us that we weren't 'important' as there were people waiting for seats. As we were getting nowhere, we spoke to another lady who had the same attitude. She advised my husband that 'a restaurant is like a hospital, you don't get seen right away'... The public health industry and hospitality industry couldn't be any less alike! We were completely astonished as we made a booking for 6:30 pm and expected to be seated by 6:35 pm at the absolute latest. After advising the manager that we would take legal action, he gave us our money back - by now it was 7:15 pm and there was still no attempt to get us seated. It is very disappointing to be let down again by a restaurant voucher that we have purchased off Groupy - this is the second bad dining experience we have had using Groupy vouchers and nothing was done about the first one and we can pretty much guarantee that nothing will be done about this one either.作者: zhuzhubao 时间: 2011-6-7 12:54:45

Your service is far worse than 'OK'. Staff never shows smiling face to clients. It seems all clients owe money to your staff indeed. Also, one of your staff, who is Chinese, is too opinionated. My friend(a lady) was nice to try to know better of your restaurant thru that staff. He cut my friend's talk & replied:" Forget it if you are older than me!" Then he ignored my friend, and walked away. WTF????? I don't get it that A RESTAURANT WHICH HAS NO MANAGER, NO ONE IN CHARGE, AND SHAMEFUL STAFF, HOW DO YOU SURVIVE?????Or HOW DARE YOU OPEN THAT RESTAURANT????
