Would recommend every stay away from this restaurant. I took my mother there for her birthday after purchasing a Grab One Voucher. Expecting exceptional service considering they are in a pretty fancy hotel was compeltely let down.
The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived and it took the staff 15 minutes to take our order, even a family which came in after us was prioritised. We ordered small sushi starters which took over 30 minutes to arrive and not to mention each arrived separately which meant we each ate separately.
I am on a no salt diet and ensured my meal would not have any salt in it. When the mains arrived after another 30 minutes I asked the waitress who did not speak very good English that there was no salt in my food and she said oh wait there is problem I will have to get it remade. She took my question to say I wanted no sauce. Again my mother was left to eat on her own as my meal was re-made only to come back full of salt.
The service was complete shambles, the food was of just acceptable quality and definitely not worth a single penny I paid for it. The staff were courteous and apologised for the mistakes but for too little too late. Would have never expected such a bad experience at such an expensive restaurant. Definitely better Japanese restaurants in Auckland for a fraction of the cost.
