我操你妈的B,说得冠冕堂皇的,你他妈犯傻逼cannot afford了关我屁事
The University of Canterbury Council has agreed to increase tuition fees for most domestic and international undergraduate and postgraduate students by four percent in 2012.
Excluded from the four percent increase in 2012 will be Foundation Studies fees for international students which will increase by 2.6 percent and fees for international and domestic MBA (Master of Business Administration) and MBM (Master of Business Management) students which will increase by two percent. Fees for international engineering students will increase by 10 percent, bringing them more in to line with fees paid by students at New Zealand’s other major engineering university.
Generally, UC’s fees are mid-ranked when compared to other New Zealand universities and increases are necessary to help the University maintain high quality research informed teaching standards.
Despite recently becoming the first New Zealand university to be awarded a 5-star rating in the newly-established international QS Stars rating system, UC cannot afford to rest on its laurels. It is critical that we make the right decisions now to ensure the quality and financial viability of the University of Canterbury, not just from the perspective of the current challenges facing the Canterbury region but also within the context of pressures on the higher education sector worldwide.
According to QS Stars, a university that achieves a 5-star rating "will often be world-class in a broad range of areas, has cutting-edge facilities, and is internationally renowned for its research and teaching faculty".
The best thing we can do as a University community is to ensure we maintain our reputation for teaching and research excellence for the benefit of our students now, while you are here to learn, and after you graduate when you will want a qualification with long-term value. We cannot do that without ensuring we can pay our way.
