Chinese Themed Market Day
When:Sun 16 Oct, 12:00pm–2:00pm
Where: Riccarton House & Bush, 16 Kahu Rd, Riccarton, Christchurch City Restrictions: All Ages

Chinese market a way of giving backA Chinese-themed market organised by CPIT event management students for Sunday 16 October, 12- 2pm, will go some way to making up for the cancelled Chinese Lantern Festival, which is traditionally held in Victoria Square.
“It’s on a smaller scale of course, but it is still something for families,” CPIT Graduate Diploma Event Management student Kirsty Bliss said.
Kirsty, with fellow students Elaine Yang Yang Ma and Peggy Tianyu Wang, approached Riccarton House with their proposal to give the venue’s Sunday Artisan market a Chinese makeover. Event Manager for Riccarton House Holly Andrews was very accommodating – as a graduate of the same CPIT programme she was familiar with both the quality of training and the importance of practical experience for the students.
The Christchurch Chinese Association drummers, Confucius Institute dumpling workshops and calligraphy demonstrations are among the drawcards on the day. The CPIT student team has organised all aspects of the event from the production schedule to the risk management plan and they are hoping for a turnout of up to 500 people for the Chinese entertainment and stalls. “It’s all good planning for a real life event,” Kirsty said.
Kirsty has also completed an internship with the city council’s rugby fanzone as part of her programme and after graduating hopes to work in community events in Christchurch. “It’s nice to give something back,” she said.

这个不是sunday market

就是sunday market 的形式，但是是以中国文化为主体的活动。有各种表演（腰鼓，书法，古筝，etc）和一些吃的东西，活动从11点到3点，希望大家都来参加。

对，只能等到下午茶时间或者是吃early dinner了。。。

是啊！但是原来都在city的。cpit的网站好像说今年的要取消哦！所以就搞了个这样的活动
