Egg allergy is no longer considered a contraindication to measles-containing
vaccines. Various studies have confirmed these children can be vaccinated
safely. Other components of the vaccine (eg, gelatin) may be
responsible for allergic reactions. It is, however, recommended that any
child who has a history of anaphylaxis to eggs be vaccinated under close
