Cantabrians get their first chance to see Christchurch's red zone since the February earthquake today.

The first of many hour-long bus tours through the central city leaves at 2 o'clock this afternoon.

Thousands have already booked a place on the tours.

They'll be taken on an hour long journey around the city with no stops.

CERA chief Roger Sutton says many will find the experience quite hard.

Support staff will be on each bus, with the Red Cross also on hand to help anyone who's really distressed.

昨晚跟负责重建red zone的其中一个manager聊天，看来还是任重道远啊~~~他们都想赶快把房子起起来，然市民赶快回复生活和工作~

最悲哀的就是 “一年了，那里还是废墟！！！”
要是政府异地而建还好，但是现在还是要在红区上重建！太慢了，啥时候是个头啊！
