My 6th month old baby has started solids for 3 weeks now. He usually has a feed every 4 hours. He has 5 feeds a day, his first feed is at 8am then every 4 hours after that until 12 midnight. As he has just started having solids I am thinking if I can reduce his milk to 4 times a day instead of 5 times a day but increasing the volume of milk per feed, usually he has 180ml every feed so thinking of increasing to 200ml and extend it to 5 hrs and then have solid in between. I'm not sure how much solid to feed him.
So how much solid (in mils) and milk (mils) do you feed your baby per feed and how many hours in between each feed. Also how many times milk and solid you feed per day? Also how old is your baby?

As I am returning to work in 2 weeks time so I want to rearrange his feeding time so that his grandparents can get use to his new eating schedule. As I feel he is gaining weight so easily especially his face is getting chubbier and chubbier as he is having 3 solids per day and the milk hasn't reduced much when he is eating more.

MY BOY IS JUST OVER SIX MTHS NOW, HE STILL HAS 5-6 FEEDS EVERYDAY, EACH 180ML, NORMALLY HE HAS TWO SOLID FEEDS, ONE IN THE MORNING AND ONE IN THE AFTERNOON, HAS SAME AMOUNT OF BOTTLE FEED, MAYBE HE NEEDS THAT MUCH TO GROW.
LIKE YOU JUST STARTED HIS SOLID, HE WILL NEED TO GET USED TO ALL DIFFERENT FOOD STILL, SO MAYBE KEEP HIS BOTTLE FEED THE SAME AS IT IS PRETTY HARD TO CONTROL HOW MUCH SOLID HE WOULD TAKE.

Maybe you are right I should hang on and see how much solid he should take then adjust his milk qty,thx

How heavy is your boy now and is he still on breast milk or formula now? Mine is half breast milk and half formula.

HE IS FULL ON FOMULA, WITH CLOTH AND DRY NAPPY HE IS JUST OVER 10.8 KGS
