It's about population density estimation. Our goal is to estimate the density of pitch plant in different bogs and our data have the 2D position information of the nearest neighbour(pitch plant) of a 10*10 grid. Given the position information, how to use kernel density estimation to estimate the density? Note: we have no prior information of the total population of the plants in these bogs.
