买了一个房子, 想把它整租出去, 然后自己在外面租房住, 想问下报税的时候, 自己的租金可以抵扣租金收入吗?

in theory, You cannot. Only the expenses related to that Investment property can be claimed.

I am not a tax accountant. just sth learnt in uni. so in theory only. But I believe practically still applicable.

You can claim part of your rent as home office expenses ( the place you live in) relating to operating your rental property (the house you purchase and is tenanted).
