院子狭窄到象欧洲的民居，是不是那里的zoning规定比较宽，比方说coverage ratio什么的，跟普通的居民区不一样？我真的想不出那么密集政府怎么批准的。请懂行的大虾们指教！

以前那些区都是难民区的。听说70年代那边都是slum

Residential 1 zone - zoning for historial character protection.

The area was an old settlement area (imagine, those first settlers from Britain, once arrived in Auckland through the port in CBD, they built the houses there as it is so close to where they landed) - the houses were built in the 19th century without proper Town Planning controls - that's why; but nowadays, the council does want to protect this character so there are many heavy controls overthere and many Kiwis do like to live in this area.

It is a very White area and I m wondering how many Chinsese/Asians would like to/are living there.

超级富人区，最贵的区就是HERN BAY 吧，好地点。不要太刻意看ZONE 1 或 ZONE 2

怎么我看flat bush新区现在盖的房子也是那种效果，真不知道如果在那一堆两层房子的中间买块地，而那家房主只能盖得起一层的房子，那会是什么效果，会不会终日不见天日。。。。

所以说风水轮流转啊，前两天听说一老太太30年前花5万在great barrier那边买了一小小岛，前两年政府以1200万买回来了...
