在圣诞节中午，本次长假第一起致命车祸在汉密尔顿发生（见上图）。在一宗两车相撞事故中，71岁的华裔女子Rongmei Wang不幸遇难。这次车祸发生在Te Papa Rd的一个路口，Wang乘坐的小车被另一涉案车辆拦腰撞上。目前，警方仍在调查事故的起因。大家有知道具体细节的吗？是谁家母亲？

为逝者感到悲哀，同时为伤者感到悲痛。希望警方尽快查明事故原因，追究相关责任人员。因为老太太是给人拦腰撞车而死的！！！

估计因为抢灯而引起交通事故的可能性最大，每年这个时间，THE BASE这的车流量实在太大了

A woman killed in a car crash in Hamilton on Christmas Day has been named as Rongmei Wang, a 71-year-old Chinese national.

Ms Wang was a rear seat passenger in a car that collided with a ute at the intersection of Avalaon Drive and Te Rapa Rd at 12.35pm.

Four of Ms Wang's family members were taken to Waikato Hospital following the crash.

Police later located a suspended driver who allegedly fled the crash site - a member of the public followed the fleeing car and helped officers track its 26-year-old female driver to an address in Pukete, Hamilton.

Waikato road policing manager Inspector Marcus Lynam said it was too early to determine fault or say whether charges would be laid.

Ms Wang's death brings the Waikato road toll to 45. It was the first death of the official Christmas road toll, which is currently sitting at three.

大家以后开车小心些，尤其是节假日，因为有些人可能会酒后驾车，车开的飞快，太恐怖了。
