今天the press上一则新闻是关于 Harvey Norman 重新开门的。
新闻中有一句写到：The building has now been strengthened to 67 per cent of the new building code. Strengthening work was completed last year and handed over to tenants in December.
我的理解是这个楼被加固到现有建筑标准的67%，然后就没有再加固下去了。那样是不是有点危险啊。

普通时候不会有啥问题的
危险是地震时可能会有，

加固到67%已经很好了，好像最低标准是33%还是34%。

最低标准必须是最低33，表明这个建筑可以用，要是Strengthening，那就要必须至少达到67

City Council target all the old, earthquak prone building to 67% of the new building standard. However insurance comany would only pay to get damaged building up to 34% in most circucumstances. For Harvey Norman it already exceed the minimum standard over half it would be quite safe to occupy now

新建的一定是。以前建的房子也是要符合当时的building code的。

达到67%就没有问题使用了
