标题: long brick wall crack, is it really serious? [打印本页]

The house is like 50 years now, it is in a slight slope. I just saw a long crack around the base area. Anyone have dealt with it before? Does it mean there is some movement of the foundation of the house?

YES
一般是基础变形墙倾斜引起的，街上很多这样的情况。好像是见怪不怪，但如果这么设想，哪天这个墙倒下压到行人（国内新闻常见）怎么办？

这是住宅，可能会压倒自己，哈哈，有保险。

那问题不大，砖墙不是承重结构，木头烂了房子才会倒

"外墙砖头不承重" --- Yes. External wall just protect rain, water, wind etc... Think about it, some house have plaster or weather board external wall, how do plaster or weather board bear weight?

thanks, but still need to make sure the foundation is not going to go down otherwise the house may have more damage, thanks!
