标题: 求教，怎么做proof of car ownership? [打印本页]

比方来说，我该怎么证明我已经拥有这台车超过3个月，6个月这样的？
在VTNZ是可以查出车在我名下，但是这样可以用来证明吗？

当你买了这车并转了ownership后，NZTA就会给你寄封信，那就是你的车的ownership certificate。如果没收到，可以要求他们补寄，或者直接去http://www.nzta.govt.nz/vehicle/index.html查询并打印

Certificate of registration 和 ownership certificate 是一样的吗还是不一样？

一样的，正式的应该是certificate of registration

但是certificate of registration 下面有一行字寫著， The Motor Vehicle Register (MVR) does not record legal ownership. NZTA 网页上也写了， registered person 不等於擁有car ownership. if the car 是belong other，他们有权利回收车

那段话后面还写着如下意思：虽然registration不一定意味着legal ownership，但这上面的那人对该车负有法律责任。我怎么没看到如果该车属于别人，他们有权力收回车？

举一个房产的例子吧：如果一个房产的title登记在某某公司名下，而某某公司又被某人所拥有，虽然某人是其实际的owner，但某某公司却要对该房产负有法律责任。现实的例子是：薄熙来在法国的房产不登记在他名下，而属于某个法国公司，但实际拥有人却是他妻子与儿子。说的就是这样一种类似的关系。属于法律责任人和实际拥有人之间的关系。

The person registered in respect of a motor vehicle is the person who is lawfully entitled to possess the vehicle. The registered person is the person who is accountable for the vehicle under transport law and for the payment of any fees or fines associated with the vehicle. This is not the same as having legal title and is why a vehicle can be repossessed even though you might be the registered person

Thanks Fatina. Under this situation, how do you make your proof of car ownership if the certificate of registration were not the certificate of ownership ( the registered person doesn't own the car) pls?

Thats the thing I want to know and need to know ... I did email NZTA, but haven't got the reply yep.

In my experience, the certificate of registration is your ownership certificate. This is the only paper you can get from NZTA for your vehicle's ownership.

The strange thing is , I use CarJam to check the ownership after the dealer helped me to do the registration. On the CarJam full report , there is a sentence on the top of the report " the car owner's address is wrong, NZTA mail has been returned" although I am the registered person and I had received the certification of registration from NZTA , but why it states the owner's address is not available, if the car owner is me, the address should be available and I can receive the mails (although I dont know what NZTA wants to send me)

forgot about the Carjam report. If this report is right, you wouldn't received your certificate of registration from and NZTA would contact you for any wrong information. The best way is to go to NZTA website to check the information of your vehicle if corrected. If something wrong, contact NZTA and correct it!
