Somerville Intermediate School 是很好的初中在东区也就比BBI稍差点
Howick College 以前在东区比较弱，但前两年换了校长后，有起色，也不错
其实除了那几个超级名校，大部分学校的成绩好坏，基本取决于生源，Howick College 以前基本没啥华人，清一色欧裔白人，平均成绩当然不咋样，现在随着越来越多华人搬到附近，该校的华人也越来越多了
顺便说下，两个学校的decile都是10分

Somerville Intermediate School好像不错，朋友的孩子在里面念书，小孩她很喜欢

howick college 在东区名声不如macleas, pakuranga,botany college.
华人的孩子不愿去上。我几个朋友住在howick college 咫尺之遥也把孩子送到pakuanga college.
macleans college 校区外抽签很难。
楼主的孩子可以校外抽签上pakuanga college.

Somerville初中很好，howick高中洋人太多然后还有flat bush那边有一批岛民也在里边拖累了成绩。那边或考虑botany高中好过pakuranga

我也不知道为什么，howick小学就开始收那边的岛民，每天都用bus从南区送过来，howick初中，howick高中的岛民也是用bus从南边接过来的，我本来不知道那些人从哪里来的，后来我同事孩子在howick高中的说是flat bush那边来的，以前这些人都在howick上学，后来botany secondry新学校不要他们，后来ormistone 新学校也不要，只能继续留howick了

那是 howick intermediate （初中），那里生源不足，岛毛确实比较多

howick 高中的人员构成：

首先我孩子不在這兩間學校讀書，也還未上學。時常跟在 ministry of education 的東区外展員工談過東区學校。Somerville intermediate 不錯，緊次於 bucklands beach intermediate. Howick college 在華人眼中學術上只是比edgewater college 好，比其它東區 college 差。但 Howick college 在洋人眼中並不是這樣想。Howick college 學術不太凸出，但 sport 是非常好，他們有專門老師教sport，你可在他們的網上找到 Howick college sport successes, 好像政府批了錢給他們起新泳池。sport (球類)比較好的學生上Howick college。其它sport 如水上sport及golf就Maclean college 比較好。
你孩子藝術天份好的，botany down secondary college 比較適合，他們有專門老師教music, drama, art, visual art, art history, design, photography. 可到他們網上看介紹。
學術好的非 Maclean college, 不用多說。flat bush 那裹的學校太新，看不到有什麼專長。只有Sancta Maria college 是那些MOE 員工認為東區最好的學校。

最后那家应该是教会办的私立吧。。。。

可那三家都超过10%啊
要一定在10%以内，那估计东区只有macleans了

Sancta Maria college 不是私立，他是state integrated 有政府資助。是非常好的學校，根據 which school 是top 10 school in Auckland. 我也有想過怎樣安排孩子日后上這學校，可惜sancta Maria college 是考NCEA, 還是算吧！

在NZ本地學校有三種學校，
private 私立像Kings colllege全無政府資助，基本上給錢就可以入讀。
state integrated 半公立如sancta Maria college, 有政府資助，但不是全資助，要收學費，並不是有錢就可以入讀，看看他們enrolment 資料。
State school 如普通公立學校如Howick college, 全政府資助，不用交學費，每年只需交donation. 有些學校有school zone, 有些no school zone. 如果有school zone 的學校只收校區內的學生。也收少量out of zone 學生。

天主教徒優先，才到 school zone內學生。MOE要求每年有5%學位給非教徒學生，可盡早申請放在waiting list上。

成绩我觉得吧，应该都差不多，反正这次奖学金是有Elim 的，说明学校不错。学费不贵，但据说是很难申请进去的（申请的人太多啦）

Elim Christian College
Attendance Dues: $2500 (including GST) per child, per annum (payable directly to Proprietor – Auckland Elim City Church Trust) by direct debit
Special Character Donation: $320.00 per annum per student (i.e. $80 per term) (payable directly to the BOT, Elim Christian College)
Special Character Donation: Parents / Caregivers are reminded that the Special Character Donation is used for the purpose of delivering and nurturing the Christian faith of our students, developing in them a biblical worldview, with corresponding values and standards.
