有没有女生做IT的呀？都是哪个领域的？工资如何？

要走IT 的话女生（已婚）适合哪个领域呢？

趁小孩还小~老公也支持我去念书~ 以前是做IT HELPDESK SUPPORT，现在要念degree 3年。在考虑是读幼教或读IT 走TESTER OR CODING OR SYSTEM administrator . 都有兴趣~ 想挑一个之后专心走下去~ 毕竟都30多了~

一般女生都是做TESTER，做DEV的也有一些。

等有经验了一般会走BA或者PM的路线。

羡慕可以念书的人，未来充满无限可能。

不过幼教和 IT 差别不是一般的大啊

30多了开始做IT有点晚，因为IT有的时候会有压力，做到PM和BA才好点。
你孩子小，不能正常上下班的时候怎么办？

只能和老公在时间上配合~ 但会尽量找能6点下班的~ 不然就通过CITRIX之类的方法在家继续~

幼教~ 很稳定~但薪水也就那样~
IT~ 想拼一拼~自己是属于愿意做的人~ 不怕压力

纠结~所以想求教前辈们~

考个tester的证书如果没有基础可以参加tester培训课程几天搞定

IT support analyst (junior level). not hard to do , salary is abt 40k after tax.

my career direction is support analyst --> business analyst.

支持，只要自己喜欢就去做好了。IT里面也有很多不是吃青春饭的，有一些技术的更新很慢，只要不追求新潮的技术就好，比如web，mobile 都更新太快了，有了孩子就搞不了这些了。搞些后台的产品，金融的核心系统分析，erp，crm ，还有ECM 像SharePoint 更新的都很慢，做的时间越长越值钱。
我觉得适合女孩子做的就是tester，工作轻松，女孩子一般比男孩子细心，而且更容易和developer（码农一般都是男的）沟通。还有就是找的工作的公司，一般找的不是IT公司的话，不做project而只是BAU的话，工作很轻松而且没有压力。

NZ IT圈里男性比例确实相当的高。但是如果女的做developer,某种程度上更有优势，因为developer这个圈子里是一个男女比例极度失衡的领域，男developer在很多方面对女developer都会更宽容，容忍度更高一些。只要技术不是太差，女的developer很多时候是相当吃香。

如果怕累，像上面网友说的做tester也是个不错的选择，我个人感觉testing是个极度无聊但是又是极度重要的行业，好的tester少之有少，顶尖的tester绝大多数都ex-dev。

NZ这个圈子里面tester里水的，混事的太多了，developer想混不是太容易，tester想混某些程度上要比dev容易一些。

I think everybody is missing a point here, a new entrant of IT job seeker into the market don't get to choose what he/she want do. You take ANY job that you managed to find.

Talking about looking after kids, work-life balance is all not relevant if you can't find the job.

Complete a degree is the easy part, look for the first job is the hard part. I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm just saying the biggest risk is can't find a job after complete the 3 years degree. You need to know the risk you are taking. Do not assume complete a IT degrees means you will automatically get a IT job.

The good news is if LZ managed to find any IT job after graduate, regardless if its test, dev, operation, admin.. being female and 30s won't be the reason stop you progressing from your career. 30 is still considered young in this field, and IT industry in general have no discrimination against gender (not until you reach super high level)

Sorry I didn't mean to discourage LZ, I just read all the responses and everybody talk as if LZ can freely choose if she want be test / dev / admin etc....

Also tester can work extremely long hour and very stressful too, depend on the company and project.

Typically in a big project in a enterprise context. Assuming the whole project is planned for 12 month. Last 3 month is scheduled for testing. But the early phases of analysis, design, development, defect fix etc... all took longer then expected. All project milestone timeline slip but the overall delivery date can't slip (typical problem with large enterprise, big project delivery date is aligned with financial year calendar and cannot slip), so what happened in the end? It means testers need complete 3 month worth of test in 3 weeks. That happens to almost every large project I've involved with in last 5 years.

找不到工作老婆大人学的就是AUT Computing and Mathematics science major Information system Science. 随便一个工作要5年经验，真不好找啊！也许学business 加上 IT 会很好，double major 很多anaylsis都是做business相关的。这样有了business的背景，又会数据分析会很好吧！纯属个人想法

的确毕业生很难找工作相比之下IT工作机会还是多些但是基本都需要经验招入门的少如果LZ真要去学IT并且希望毕业后能找到工作最好在读书时就开始IT 相关的part time注意是对以后选择方向相应的part time. LZ还有孩子呵呵当妈的真够累的
