cannot type chinese at workplace, sorry.

last night have received a call from spark, offering me an free upgrade to fibre internet. It is 12 months contract, but free installtion and router.

My questions are:

1. how is speed of spark fibre internet now, have read quite a lot comments advising spark fibre internet is so slow.
2. how long will it take for installation, it still takes ages to get it done?
3. do they need to dig a whole or how they get cable connected to house? I have concrete driveaway (not share driveway), so how they gonna do it? put the cable under concrete?

I dont know whether now it is a good time to switch my ADSL to fibre. can anyone provide some comments?

1。我安装的是fibre 30，速度明显比adsl快很多，speedtest有3倍以上的速度。
2。他们14年12月份给我打的电话，我同意安装。最后是15年7月份装的。安装需要半天，但是让我等待了8个月。
3。从门前接线箱，接一条光纤到屋外，这个你不用管。一般还要接一条光纤从屋外接线盒到屋内router，这个比较坑人，明线到处拉，很不美观。

如果你不在意有一条类似网线的东西从屋外接线盒到你的router，还是升级吧，如果在意，adsl也可以用。

coz Spark called me yesterday, provided me this offer and pushed me to make decision by today. they will call me back tonight and I dont want to make a wrong decision over the phone, so that is why I think I'd better to check what you guys said before I talked to them, you know you cannot trust them all.

你的线为什么不走屋顶？

I think I will still use my ADSL. dont bother waiting for them to install fibre

thanks for your answer la.. I may still use my ADSL ba.. As I am not playing games and watch online streams quite often. The most important thing, I dont want they mount the cable on the wall outside my house.. yes, agree with you, looks ugly.

你不是唯一的。。。。。有相同经历的举手，各种狗血情节，MB的，有次真忍不住了，具体情况不说了，反正向我这么怕麻烦的人用了一下午各种电话到spark 投诉！

我家是两层的。即使是一层的，也需要有一条明线，从距离地面50公分左右的地方通到屋顶。

室外的一条线，而且是小管子包着，这样没有不美观吧？谁会留意

你给坑了。我们里面就没有线，屋内的线都是在墙内。

也许新房子光纤已经入户了，我家房子太老了（1999年建的）。

我们也是新拉的光纤，在屋外拉线直接进入屋顶，然后他们上屋顶把线从墙内拉下来，在电源旁边钻洞，装路由，就这样。
是他们帮你安装的时候太懒了吧。
