又一个中国case 把中国人推向媒体的前端。。。。。。这个案例好像是利口福的老板了。 80万加贷款能买1,2套房子了，

Auckland Chinese restaurant owner jailed for evading $800,000 tax
The owner of an Auckland Chinese restaurant serving sharkfin dishes has been sentenced to jail for evading nearly $800,000 in tax.
Restaurateur Zai Jian Liang, who runs Tasty Zone Restaurant in East Tamaki, filed 113 incorrect tax returns between 2009 and last year.
An Inland Revenue investigation found Liang and his wife Guan Hong Liang failed to declare more than $1 million in cash sales and about $500,000 in PAYE.
The couple also fraudulently claimed $30,000 in Working for Families tax credits.
For evading $787,996 in tax, Liang was sentenced yesterday to three years and two months in jail.
Investigations and Advice Group manager Tony Morris said the Liangs showed a complete disregard of their tax obligations.
"This is right up there with the most blatant cases we have seen," Morris said.
"This couple have actively hidden significant amounts of cash sales and employee wages from Tasty Zone's tax returns.
"We found a litany of irregularities when going through their bank accounts, proving they were using undeclared cash from the restaurant to pay for everyday expenses as well as overseas trips."
The couple kept a record of their employees' wages in a little red notebook, and kept their accountant in the dark about their shady practices.

Investigators found the notebook during a search of their home and the restaurant on Torrens Rd.
Major discrepancies were discovered between the declared pay and actual earnings when its contents were compared to the official PAYE returns the couple filed.
Guan Hong Liang was convicted and discharged in the Manukau District Court on lesser knowledge offences.
No reparation order was made as the couple were being bankrupted.
"New Zealanders need to know that we will track down people like the Liangs and hold them to account," Morris said.
"We won't let them get away with ripping off honest, law-abiding taxpayers."
Specials on Tasty Zone's menu include shark's fin with vegetables, peking duck and shark's fin with bamboo pith soup.
The restaurant could not be reached for comment this morning.

三宝已经倒闭了，现在换了一家餐馆，是湘菜，前几天刚去吃过！不过当年三宝的肉丝包饼还是很好吃的 ~。~

中国餐馆95%以上都有问题，不符合缴税的多的是，随便找一家DOMIN RD上的，估计都有问题，只不过IRD没去查而已！IRD也要考虑，查多了会影响别人的和房东的利益，所以只挑那些太过分的，或者是被举报的，这家老板估计得罪谁了，被举报了吧！

应该没有了，他们又在北岸开了家海鲜大咖，但是legal 的英文名没有变，原来那家应该是卖了

可查到的刚所欠税金就八十万，没查出来的还有更多，可想而知賺了多少钱。可不但不交税，还拿工作家庭小孩税收补贴，太贪了，怎么不中枪。知情的人难免有看不惯的，要是对工人不工平的话更会出来通报。賺钱的话交点税是应该的，现在去坐牢钱多又能怎样。

这还需要太多解释吗？华人餐厅逃税的比比皆是。之前的三宝，一品香均被查到被科以重罚。三宝比较聪明，做了voluntary disclosure, 所以逃过坐牢之灾。一品香老板畏罪潜逃，应该永远也回不了新西兰了

养肥了再宰，一宰一个准。不知道这些人有没有把钱转移到中国就不要补了。bankrupt就行了。80万不是小数目了，就是规矩打工赚钱也要10年时间呢。人家用3年时间就换回来了

以后哪家餐馆服务不好，卫生不好，菜不好，直接举报ird 加食品监管，加劳工部，一次过全举报他，肯定中一个。
