Graduate/Intern AccountantJob Description

We are looking for a graduate/intern accountant to help our small start up practice. Our office is based at the bottom of Parnell, but there is flexibility to work from office/home. Initially most of the work will be around helping with managing our job workflow, including:

Assistance with client information requests (using Xero and other electronic correspondence)
Setting up workpapers and jobs for job management.
Filling client information (and scanning where received as hard copy versions) when received.
Sending initial queries to clients for information missing / not received.
Helping with finalising of documents to be sent out to clients.
Helping our practice manager with filing of tax returns.
Helping with general admin work like preparing spreadsheets for provisional tax
Managing of personal workflow

As you progress, you will become more involved with:

Preparing business GST and FBT returns
Preparing financial statements and tax returns
Preparing work papers before submitting for review
Other ad hoc projects

Once you have built solid foundations doing the above, and as you progress, we also provide business advisory services and work that you can get involved with.
