23年给他们申请批了一年，当时就觉得奇怪，之前都是三年or五年

上个月又帮他们申请一次，批下来就九个月

有人知道是为啥吗？？

普通访客签（Visitor Visa - General）的签证法规规定：

A visitor visa should allow the applicant to stay in New Zealand for a total of no more than nine months in the 18-month period before the proposed expiry date of the visa.
（一份访客签证应当允许申请人在签证过期前18个月内在新西兰停留不超过9个月）

同时又规定：
To be granted a multiple journey visa under these instructions, applicants must not have been in New Zealand for more than nine months in the preceding 18-month period at the time the application is lodged.
（申请人若要获批多次入境签证，在递交申请时，在过去的18个月内在新西兰的停留时间不得超过9个月）

同时又规定：
On arrival, an applicant may be granted entry permission, provided that they will not spend more than six months in New Zealand in the 12-month period before the end of their current stay.
（到达新西兰，在确认其不会在未来12个月内停留超过6个月时，可批准进入许可）

有一系列条件约束新发放签证的有效期和时长。

有时候跟护照有效期有关系。

对的，有很多方面的限制条件，包括自己护照有效期
