We are an Auckland-based construction company looking for a part-time Accounting & Finance Assistant to support our daily finance operations. You will help maintain accurate financial records, organise accounting documents, and assist with project-related cost tracking.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for keeping our financial records up to date, organising accounting documents, and assisting with bank reconciliation and transaction coding. Your role will also include handling AP and AR tasks, preparing invoices, and following up with suppliers and clients regarding payments.
You will assist with payroll preparation, checking timesheets, and supporting PAYE-related tasks.
You will also help prepare GST return workings, assist with basic tax documentation, and support month-end updates, cost entries, and general finance administration.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with an accounting or business background, and a formal qualification in accounting or commerce would be an advantage. Experience with MYOB, Xero, or similar systems will help you settle into the role more quickly. We value attention to detail, accuracy with numbers, and the ability to work independently. Fluent in both spoken and written Chinese and English. You should also be available for ten hours of work per week and hold a valid New Zealand work visa.
