Job Vacancy:
We are now looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join BMH Homes.
Key responsibilites:
- Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
- Measure and quantify materials, labour, and subcontractor work
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Assist to manage procurement and negotiate contracts with clients
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, and financial performance
- Prepare progress claims, payment schedules, and cost reports
- Assess variations and prepare variation claims
- Conduct site visits for measurement and verification
- Prepare final accounts and ensure accurate project close-out
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and clients
To apply for this role, you must - Have a completed relevant tertiary education background
- Previous quantity surveying experience is preferred
- Be competent in quantity surveying relevant software and with the ability to learn business systems
- Have a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Have strong skills in communication, high abilities in time management and multitask
- Must hold full unrestricted working rights for New Zealand
