這裏最近有一个话题講到相机內置闪光和外接闪光..因此，我决定拍一些照片，显示内闪,外闪，以及Diffuser，将如何影响到照片的结果。

I used a soft toy as my model. The result (difference) would be a lot more obvious if i can find a real person model but unforunately none is available so i have to use a toy this time.
I spent last night setting up and taking all the photos and then tonight tidy up the pictures.

so anyway this is the camera setup i used:

Camera: Nikon D200
Lens: Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR (no hood , no filter)
Tripod: Manfrotto 055MF3 with 804RC2 head
External Flash: Nikon SB600

Camera settings: ISO100, f/4, aperture priority, matrix metering

To make the flash result more obvious, I've switched off almost all the lights in my house. I've only left one small light (to the right of the camera) on so i can still see what i'm doing.

But i would also like to play a game with you all, i'm going to show you all the 10 flash setups i've tried... and the 10 result photos.. but i want you to guess which one gives with photo...

So here are the flash setups:

F1: no flash at all

F2: internal flash

F3: internal flash with lumiquest softscreen: http://www.lumiquest.com/softscreen.htm

F4: external flash mounted on camera, flash directly towards the subject.

F5: external flash mounted on camera + small white card, flash tilt up and left by 45 degree

F6: external flash mounted on camera, flash tilt up and left by 45 degree

F7: external flash mounted on camera with diffuser, flash directly towards the subject.

F8: external flash mounted on camera with diffuser, flash tilt up and left by 45 degree

F9: External flash placed on the left hand side. Internal flash use as commander to trigger external flash. But internal flash does not flash

F10: Simliar to F9. External flash placed on the left hand side. Internal flash use as commander to trigger external flash. Internal flash and external flash both flash at same power in TTL mode.

A few notes:
-I didn't use the lens hood on my lens as 小黑's lens hood is quite long and i think it may block the internal flash's light.
- Don't worry about the different in brightness, it's because thecamera's metering/ flash TTL metering is affected by the changes in the flash light distributions in each setup and make some picture brighter than the others.

闪灯在1年前~ EASTER的时候~ 摔坏了~ (其实之前也摔过好多次)

所以现在没灯用... ...

經過一段時間的觀察,終於搞出final answer了.除了知道答案,我覺得也需要說說分析的過程,以明白為啥是答案:

這是貼子上的D,背景沒有公仔暗影,光源從上而下　　　　　　　這是貼子上的E,是個側光

根據making of所看到,桌子的陰影跟E的側光大致吻合,但公仔上的明暗跟D差不多.

如果 E = no flash,那E 就是一張曝光不足的照片,而令E成為疑似側光.現場光在主体的左方.在證實E =no flash之前,再看看同樣是側光的G:

下面是G(左)和E(右),同樣是側光,相比鼻子,G有兩點光(一點是相機的signal,一點是閃燈),而E只有一點光,代表相機沒有發出閃光燈signal.

好~!全部揪出來看,下面是修改後的answer:

F1=E

F2=F

F3=B ------- F2F3用的是機頂燈,所以B和F的陰影角度一樣.F3用了defuser,B的shadow比F柔和.所以F2F3應該沒錯了.

F4=H - 燈跟F7一樣位置

F5=I

F6=D -----天花反射

F7=A - 跟F4對比,陰影較柔和

F8=J

F9=G,no shadow,prove 側光

F10=C,背景有shadow,鼻有兩點,prove 側光+正面光

freakideroh and dk7: thanks for spending the time to play this game :) and freakideroh ... your guess is so so accurate...

i 've tried guess the answers myself and only got a few correct as the highlight/shadow/reflections from the soft toy is not really that obvious

If you look at previous threads created by freakideroh, you can see he tinkers with indoor lighting quite a bit.
