不一定适合所有人但是我觉得写的还是挺general的，可以套上去用。声明，如果因此被炒本人不承担任何责任

Hi Blah,

It has been a year since I took on the xxxx role. Time has surely gone so fast.

I am really enjoying my work and I believe I have done a good job.

The amount and difficulty of work for me has been greatly incresed during the year. It has been a good experience to me and I have learned a lot from it.

I think we have achieved a lot together and I am looking forward for more wonderful things.

So I think it is fair for me to have a pay rise to reflect what I am worth and to keep myself motivated. According to Hays human resource's IT salary survey the medium market price for a xxxx in Auckland for 2008 is around xxk-xxk. I think I would appriciate any number in that range.

I do understand that I still have room for imporvement myself as a xxxx and I will do my best to work towards that way while continuing to provide my knowledge and expertise to the company.

Generally you don't write a letter to request for a raise. You need to have balls and talk to him/her face to face.

i did talk to my boss and he wants me to write a letter.

the important thing is it worked for me.

说明经理已经对你的工作能力认可了,而且他认为你的工作能力和成果和你现在的薪水不匹配,他会担心你走。如果你说无所谓，那么人家可能认为你对你现在的工资很满意，以后要加就很难了，洋人就是这样的，他们不懂什么叫谦虚，your manager think you deserve to a wage rise, why you say no
