The Role We’re seeking a Project & Accounts Administrator who thrives onaccuracy, organisation, and variety. This role is pivotal in keeping ourfinancial and project operations running seamlessly, ensuring our clients andteams are supported with timely, accurate, and professional service. You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end billing process, overseefinancial administration tasks, and provide project teams with critical supportin budgeting, reporting, and document production. You’ll also step into broaderadministrative and governance functions as a trusted backup, making this adynamic role with variety and visibility across the business. What You’ll Do · Responsiblefor the company's daily financial management, accounts payable and receivableinvoices, including entry and batch payment. · Processinginvoices, bank reconciliations, and monthly statements. · Maintainingand entering fixed assets. · Enteringand organizing all financial transactions using the Xero system. · AssistingQS with project-related work, ensuring project financial accuracy. · Trackingproject costs and supplier payments, participating in budget control and costrecordkeeping. · Contractreview. · Responsiblefor filing local New Zealand taxes, including GST and PAYE. · Maintainingeffective communication with external accountants, tax advisors, banks, andother institutions. · Assistin managing the company's administrative duties such as placing orders, bookinspections, assisting supervisors etc.
What We’re Looking For
- Accounting and/or Business New Zealand Bachelor qualification
- 1-3 years local work experience in billing, accounts, or financial administration.
- Previous experience in Payroll
- Strong organisational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident user of Excel and financial/accounting systems.
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with clients, directors, and project teams.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
- NZ driver licence and access to vehicle
